Blanche Marie McMurtrey Nield, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 31, 2012, at her home of natural causes.
She was born July 23, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Milton McMurtrey and Julia Fern Brown McMurtrey. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.
On May 6, 1957, she married Allen Jay Nield in Coltman, Idaho. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2004. Blanche was a devoted mother and homemaker.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed poetry, painting, camping, and fishing. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Nield; a son, Michael Nield; a brother, Robert McMurtrey; a granddaughter, April Wilde; and a great grandson, Rocky Wisdom.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
