Blair C Poulsen, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 21, 2025, after a valiant, hard fought battle with Interstitial Lung Disease, at his home. He was under the care of Brio Hospice.
Blair was born October 11, 1954, in Rigby, Idaho, to Frank Dee Poulsen and Virginia Hazel Taylor Poulsen. He grew up and attended schools in the Rigby area and graduated from Rigby High School. He also attended Ricks College.
On November 27, 1976, he married Christine Margaret Rogers in the Idaho Falls Temple. Blair and Christine made their home in Lewisville, Burley, Teton, and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Blair worked as manager of CAL Ranch in Burley and Rexburg. He went on to work at Pioneer Equipment as the office manager until his retirement.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Melbourne Australia Mission. He was called to serve as a Bishop, High Councilman, Ward Clerk, and Scout Master, along with working in the Rexburg and Idaho Falls Temples. He enjoyed whitewater rafting, fishing, camping, and wood carving, carving a hiking staff for each member of the family.
Blair is survived by his wife, Christine Rogers Poulsen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Roger F. (Lynda) Poulsen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Travis Blair (Tasha) Poulsen of Lehi, UT; daughter, Desirae Beth (Jacob) Rasmussen of Beaverton, OR; brother, Dennis (Keila) Poulsen of Ammon, ID; brother, Darwin (Elaine) Poulsen of Sartell, MN; sister, Karen (Randy) Madsen of Lewisville, ID; brother, Carl (Brenda) Poulsen of Rigby, ID; sister, Joy Rucks of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Roy (Annette) Poulsen of Perry, UT; brother, Reed (Brenda) Poulsen; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Eiler Poulsen; parents-in-law, Francis and Margaret Rogers; brothers-in-law, David Rucks, Robert Rourk and Herbert McIver.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Cedar Ridge Ward, 3195 S. Holmes, with Bishop Brady Kay officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
