Blair Roger McIntier, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from an accident at his home.
Blair was born February 13, 1945, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Alvy and Ruth Violet Hanson McIntier. He grew up and attended schools in Iona where he played in the band. He graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended several GM tech schools. While serving in the National Guard, Blair was activated into the Vietnam War in the 116th Combat Engineers.
On August 27, 1971, he married Kathie Elder McIntier in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born two children, Colleen and Shawn. Blair and Kathie made their home in Idaho Falls, where Blair worked as a Technician for Smith Chevrolet for 46 years. He was always improving things, from his cars to his campers, leaving them better than new.
He enjoyed camping, woodworking, and decorating for the holidays. He especially loved helping others. He ate at Wendy’s every Thursday with his fellow workers. As the years grew, so did the crowd. Now the bunch on Thursdays are all retirees.
Blair is survived by his:
daughter, Colleen McIntier of Ammon, ID;
son, Shawn McIntier of Ammon, ID;
sister-in-law, Sherry Roseberry of Ammon, ID;
brother-in-law, Stephen Elder;

pets "his girls," Jessie, Maggie, and Sam;
2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
