Bill Walker - 08/12/2002 Bill Walker - 08/12/2002 BILL WALKER AMMON, ID -- William Christie “Bill” Walker, 63, of Ammon, died August 11, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a heart attack. He was born August 29, 1938, at Coventry, England, to Stanley Walker and Edith Thomson Christie Walker. He grew up and attended schools in England, where he earned professional degrees in construction management. He served in the British Army Grenadier Guards as a guard at Buckingham Palace. He moved to the United States in 1982 and has lived in several locations throughout the country. He married Deborah Anne Warner July 20, 1984, at Towson, Maryland. He worked as a construction manager and mason. They moved to Ammon in 2001. Bill was a master craftsman and loved working in his garden, on his home, and on the computer. He also enjoyed camping, hiking, and being in the outdoors. Surviving are:Wife: Deborah Walker, AmmonSister: Margaret Ewing, Coventry, EnglandHe was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alec Walker, and a daughter, Debra Jane Walker. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends on Friday, August 16, 2002, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls.
