BILL SCHULDT
YAKIMA, WA -- Bill Schuldt died September 3, 2003, within
the arms of his wife, Linda, and with son Vince and daughter Deanna at his
side, at Memorial Hospital in Yakima.
Bill was born May 4, 1929, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Carl
Frederich Schuldt and Betsy Oclella Van Orden Schuldt. He was preceded in
death by his parents and two sisters, Francis Schuldt and Donnetta Asper.
He has a surviving brother, Frank Schuldt, of Idaho Falls, and a sister,
Betty Metcalf, of Utah.
Bill has nine children, four of these from his previous
marriage to Carol Cram. They are his son, Terry Schuldt of Iowa, and daughters,
Kathy Ward of Idaho, Korrine Rogers of Arizona, and Kristi Steiner of Idaho.
Bill and Linda married in 1980 and Bill took the position
of being "Dad" to Linda's children and their daughter, Gretchen,
born of this marriage. There are sons, Vincent Rafn, of Yakima, Washington,
Brian Rafn, of Blackfoot, Idaho, Dane Rafn, of Tennessee, and daughters,
Deanna Schwendiman and Gretchen Schuldt, both of Yakima, Washington.
Bill was an Ironworker for over 30 years with Local 732
in Pocatello, Idaho, and took pride in the work he did. He lost many friends
along the way, but he still had many stories to tell of their days together,
Bill and Linda moved to Yakima after he retired and spent many happy days
together in their garden watching birds, enjoying the flowers and spending
many happy hours on the patio with the family for countless barbeques. His
favorite hours were spent at his favorite fishing hole. He will be missed
by all that knew him.
It is Bill's wish to have Memorial Services at 11 a.m.
Saturday, September 20th, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge.
The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at
Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge.
