Bill Manwill

Billy LeRay Manwill, 73, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away August 17, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Bill was born October 29, 1944, in Centerfield, Utah, to Hal Orson Manwill and Mary Berneice (Jensen) Manwill. He grew up and attended schools in Utah and Idaho and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Ricks College and Idaho State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

On August 14, 1970, he married Carol Ruth Manwill in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were added two children, Brenda and Dan. Bill and Carol made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bill worked as a civil engineer for Bonneville County Road and Bridge Department.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Among his service were callings in the Bishopric, High Council and as a Primary Teacher. He enjoyed being a spectator and participating in Nascar and dirt track and go-kart racing. He enjoyed these even more when he was able to do them with his son. His talents were greatest in car setup.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ruth Manwill of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Brenda (Kelly) McCandless of Rexburg, ID; son, Dan (Lenel) Manwill of Keokuk, IA; brother, Bernell Manwill of Centerfield, UT; brother, Gail (Sharon Reed) Manwill of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Clair (Teresa Butikofer) Manwill of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Perry (Kathleen) Fredrickson; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hal Orson Manwill, and mother, Mary Berneice Manwill.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mesa Building, 2545 Mesa Street, with Bishop Dwight Wray officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery.

Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery.
