Bill Fuger

William Harold “Bill” Fuger, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away on January 24, 2011, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Center. He was under the care of Creekside Hospice. He was born April 21, 1925, in Pocatello, Idaho to Clarence Edwin Fuger and Violet Minerva McElroy Fuger. He grew up in the area and attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Irvin Junior High, and Pocatello High School. He joined the U.S. Navy at 17 and served as a Boatsman Mate Second Class during World War II. He later was awarded an honorary high school diploma. On August 7, 1947, he married Ella Lanez Campau in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He worked as a Pipefitter in the construction industry. He was a very proud member of the Local #648 Pipefitters Union for 61 years. Bill enjoyed fly tying and fly fishing. Survivors are: Son: Allen Harold Fuger, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Dennis Wade Fuger, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Cheryl (Kevin Spencer) Rogers, Pocatello, ID Son: Rod (Jeannie) Fuger, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Betty Terry, Pocatello, ID 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Clarence “Jerry” Fuger; a daughter-in-law, Joy Fuger; and a great great granddaughter, Bentley Ella Holland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Inkom Cemetery. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Arbon, Creekside Hospice, Lincoln Court and Parkwood Meadows for their special care.
