Beverly Ann Johnson, 70, of Idaho Falls, who was born September 3, 1946, passed away January 12, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls due to complications after back surgery. There's a wonderful life in between. Raised on a farm in Lamont, Idaho, the eldest of four children born to Fred Douglas Morrison and Freda Neff Morrison, Bev knew responsibility and grew to love animals. Graduating from North Fremont High School, she then went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in Idaho Falls. It was there, in 1965, that Kenneth Bradley Johnson, on leave from the US Navy, met Bev. Three days later, he called his mother in Minnesota to say he'd met the girl he was going to marry! 51 years later . . . here's the story: They moved around with the Navy; their first daughter was born in Virginia, and their second was born in Connecticut. Bev, as a sailor's wife, made friends wherever she was - always caring and helpful. Back to Idaho - they spent 42 years in St. Anthony, Idaho - close to Bev's family, she was known as "the Shot Lady" at Eastern Idaho Public Health. A special gift of hers was making everyone of every age feel at ease. She retired in 2015 after more than 30 years. Loving horses, she bred and raised them at their ranch, JTripleTree. Always caring for kids, cats, dogs - theirs or strays - her heart and home was always open. In 2015, they moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to their two daughters and their families. Bev decorated their home and enjoyed arts and crafts. Having family and friends over for meals and holidays were some of her happiest times. Those of us left behind already miss her hugs, phone calls and love: her husband of 51 years, Ken; daughter, Kim (Michael) Drake of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Kellye (Greg) Eager of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Bud (Luana) Morrison of Ashton, ID; sister, Joyce (Mike) Sedler of Spokane, WA; sister, Julie (Mike) Gaffney of Idaho Falls, ID; 3 grandchildren, Kayla, Chris, KateLynn and one great-granddaughter, Alice. Committal Services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Eastern Idaho Public Health's Mammogram Voucher Program, c/o Eastern Idaho Public Health Beverly Johnson Memorial, 1250 Hollipark Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
