BEULAH L. BEUTLER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Beulah Leona Andrus Beutler, 92, of Idaho Falls, died November 28, 2001 at the Lily House in Idaho Falls from causes incident to age.
She was born August 25, 1909 in Ucon, Idaho the daughter of Robert and Lovenia Bawden Andrus. She was the eighth child of a family of eleven.
She attended school in Ucon, Idaho and then her senior year, attended Rigby High School where she graduated with her sister, Rula, in May of 1929. She first attended Ricks College with her Brother Thomas and her sister, Vera. She completed her graduation requirements from Ricks and in the Fall of 1935, she enrolled at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She also continued college credit by correspondence.
She taught in the Ucon Elementary Schools in Second grade. In June of 1945, she graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She held both Elementary and Secondary teaching certificates. She filled two short term missions in the Toronto, Canada area.
After graduation from Utah State, she met Edward Beutler of Lewiston, Utah. They were married September 12, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died July 29, 1985. More teaching experience included a year in Shelley Junior High and one in the Burley Junior High. The remainder of her teaching years were spent in the Bonneville Senior and Junior High Schools. She also did private tutoring in Reading.
Beulah held many teaching positions in her Church. She also sang in Ward Choirs and was a member of an Andrus Sisters Quartet.
She retired at the age of sixty five in 1974. She resided in her home on North Skyline Drive until age ninety one.
Surviving are:Son: Dr. Larry E. (Margaret) Beutler, Golleta, CASon-in-law: Joseph (Coleen) Allred, Millersville, MDSister: Vera A. (Lynn) Barker, Shelley, IDDaughter-in-law: Alice Painter, Pocatello, ID12 Grandchildren, and many Great Grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Valene Allred.
Funeral Services will be at the Idaho Falls LDS GrandView Ward (1450 Mountain View Lane) at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2001, with Bishop Grand Leavitt officiating.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
