Betty Sailer

Click Here To View Memorial Video Betty M. Sailer, 82, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, surrounded by her family. Betty was born April 26, 1932 to Iverson and Lula Crum in Bluffs, Illinois. After graduation from high school she started work as a secretary. Later when she married, she became a homemaker and mother. As a wife in a military family, she moved around living in various parts of the U.S. She spent her life raising her children and later worked part-time in various jobs. In 1970 the family moved back to Idaho where she resided in Blackfoot Idaho for the next 41 years. She was employed by the State Hospital South in their dietary department for 20 years and retired in 1997. Betty enjoyed her family and supported the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their activities. She also loved gardening and especially flowers. She moved to Idaho Falls in 2011, where she remained until her death. Betty is survived by her children Debby Hopkins (Dan Parquette) of Idaho Falls, ID; Dan Sailer (Sonny Chan) of Stanwood, WA; Kenneth Sailer of Crescent City, IL; three grandchildren, Marcus (Jacquie) Hopkins of Idaho Falls, ID; Adam Sailer of Lake Stevens, WA; Eric Sailer of Marysville, WA. Three great grandchildren, brother, Norman Crum of Winchester, IL and 2 nieces and 5 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Harold Crum and one sister, Barbara Snyder. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church (237 N. Water). The family will receive friends at the viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. The family would like to thank everyone at the Gables of Ammon and Aspen Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful care and love given.

Funeral Services will be held

Saturday May 24, 2014 , 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist

The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
