BETTY HUNT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Betty Gale Hunt, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 4, 2006, at her home.
Betty was born June 17, 1927, in Rexburg, Idaho, the third of four daughters born to Cadwallander D. "Wally" Owens and Iva Lilly Hamilton Owens. She was always first in the heart of her husband of 60 years, Samuel W. Hunt, Jr., whom she married March 17, 1946, in Seattle, Washington. They moved back to Idaho Falls 35 years ago and she was a homemaker and mother.
After raising her children, Betty went to work at Bonneville School District #93 in the school lunch program, first as a cook and later as Manager at Rocky Mountain Junior High School. She retired after 19 years to babysit her grandchild, which she said was the best job in the world.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Betty loved gardening, watching her grandchildren, and visiting teaching.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Hunt of Idaho Falls, a sister, Donna Rae Mulholland of Banning, CA; her children and their loving spouses, Sherri Harvey of Idaho Falls, Sam Hunt of Swan Valley, Brad Hunt of Tucson, AZ, Wally Hunt of Idaho Falls, and Ricky Hunt of Tucson, AZ.
15 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Phae and Blanche.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Church at 1200 Dunbar, Idaho Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
