OBITUARY INFORMATION Betty Gentillon Betty Leatham Gentillon, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 26, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born November 7, 1928, in Shelley, Idaho to Levi Garrett Leatham and Mary Ivy Rose Leatham. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Shelley High School and the LDS Seminary. She moved to Logan, Utah where she attended Utah State University for three years. She worked as a bookkeeper and stenographer in Idaho Falls for several firms. On July 7, 1949, she married Roland L. Gentillon in Shelley. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 5, 1979. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She and Roland resided in Idaho Falls until his retirement, after which they divided their time between Phoenix, Arizona and Idaho Falls. Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served in various callings in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society, as a ward librarian, and volunteered at LDS Social Services. She loved to read, put jigsaw puzzles together, do family history work, and attend the temple. Survivors are: Husband: Roland Gentillon, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sharon (Frank) Ward, Pocatello, ID Son: Bruce Roland Gentillon, Phoenix, AZ Brother: Marion Moore (Loaine) Leatham, Shelley, ID 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Idaho Falls Willow Creek LDS Ward (6925 North 15 East) with Bishop Kurt Clements officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Alport Syndrome Foundation at www.alportsyndrome.org.
