Mrs. Garland was a wonderful, loving, woman who was like a second Mother to a number of kids in the North End of Beaumont. The times spent with the Garland's at their home or the time they took all us kids to the beach were priceless memories. God Bless. Harold Sandi (Pryne) Winters sandi_winters@yahoo.com My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. I have lots of fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Garland. They were so wonderful folks all of Erich and Ros's friends when we were in school. Thank you for the memories. Judy (Garrett) Hickman judyh57@hotmail.com Ros and I were friends when we were little girls in Minglewood. Mrs Garland was always an attentive Mother to her kids and we had a lot of fun playing at her house! After we grew up and went to high school, the Garland's opened their home to the "Garland Gang" and gave us a place to gather and took care of us when we were away from home. I have many fond memories of those days, and the days before when Ros and I were little. Mrs Garland was a big influence on many lives. May God bless the Garland family in this time of your loss. Judy Danny Jacobs danjacobs747@aol.com When someone of Betty's genuine character and personality crosses your path in life, you never forget. Always the first with a smile and pleasant hello, she brightened the lives of all those around her. You always knew that others came first, and most importantly, her family. Never one to want, she was always ready to help. I know she will be missed by all who held her close in their hearts, even though they may be many miles and years away. Love to all, Dan Ty and Linda Evenson lindae@montana.com Uncle Art, Erich and Roz - We were so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. I know she had been struggling with her health for quite a while. We just wanted to express our sympathy. I know you will really miss her. Love you - Linda & family Tammy and the Garland Gang Tammytalk13@Yahoo.com How do we express in a short letter what Mrs. Garland meant to all of us? During our high school years Mrs. Garland was always there for us, no matter what time day or night anyone of us needed her. Whether we were having girl problems or boy problems, school problems, problems at home with our parents, no matter what she was there. I am not talking about just a few of us that grew up with her children Eric and Rosiland. I am talking about 20 or more teenagers. Working a full time job, being a wonderful wife and fantastic mother would be enough to overwhelm most women, but not Mrs. Garland. Over 20 of us referred to her as our second Mom, and were at her home if not everyday at least several times a week. At times when Eric or Rosiland were not home we went anyway just to spend time talking with her. She has always been in all of our hearts thru the years and in our prayers, since her health became worse. We will always cherish the wonderful memories we have of this amazing woman Mrs.Garland . . . . . . Our 2nd Mom. Our Love and Prayers are with you all . . . Love, The Gang . . . Judy, Nolan, Danny, Harold, Tammy, Mark, Johnny, David, Gary, S., Jeffery Kim, Ronnie, Gary D., Sandi, Debbie and Suzette. Joy Grier Dear Uncle Art, Erich and Rosalind and family, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Betty's passing and know the grief you are feeling today. Love, Joy Joan Burnett Dear Rosalind, We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. We remember you and your family from Minglewood in Beaumont. You and Judy Garrett and our daughter, Amanda played together --- hard to believe that was more than 40 years ago. Please give our condolences to your father and Eric, though they probably won't remember us. Kindest regards, Dana, Joan and Amanda Burnett
