Betty Dineen

Betty Isabel Cox Dineen, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 1, 2017, at MorningStar Senior Living Center. She was under the care of her loving family and Encompass Hospice. Betty was born August 30, 1925, in Shelley, Idaho, to Eli Ashton Cox and Evelyn Cook Cox. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School. She also attended Woodbury in California. On January 20, 1946, she married Jack Dineen in Dillon, Montana. To this union were born three children, John Gregory, Jackie, and Jeff. Betty and Jack made their home in Idaho Falls, where Betty was a wife and mother. She also worked as a nursing assistant for Dr. Carey. She enjoyed her family and family gatherings. She loved spending time with them in Island Park and Palisades, Idaho. Betty is survived by her son, Greg (Marge) Dineen of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Jackie (Doug) Beatty of Farmington, UT, brother, Jerry (Beverly) Cox of Ririe, ID, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack, son, Jeff Dineen, and grandson, James Dineen. Graveside Services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Taylor Cemetery, with Pastor Larry Cudmore officiating.
