SUE CURTIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Betty Sue “Sue” McKemie Curtis, 66, of Idaho Falls, died June 15, 2003, at her home of natural causes. She was born October 2, 1936, at Minden, Louisiana, to Morris Bert McKemie and Claudia Lee Donaho McKemie. She grew up in Louisiana and graduated Natchitoches High School. She then attended Northwestern University in Louisiana for a year. She married Ted Lee Curtis December 8, 1956, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1957, where they have lived ever since. She was a homemaker and mother and worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell, at the Deli in Albertson's, and retired from District #93, where she worked in food services. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the scouting program, Primary, Young Women, and as a visiting teacher. She liked to bowl, dance, spend time with her family, attend TOPS, crochet, and do puzzles. Surviving are: Husband: Ted Curtis, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Terri Sue Curtis, Murray, UT Son: Steven Lee [Brenda] Curtis, Idaho Falls Son: Mark Alan [Holly] Curtis, Idaho Falls Son: Michael David [Laurie] Curtis, Idaho Falls Daughter: Kristi Lynn Curtis, Layton, UT Mother: Claudia McKemie, Natchitoches, LA Brother: David McKemie, Escondido, CA Sister: Fredna Claire Brazil, Natchitoches, LA Sister: Sandy Craig, Many, LA 12 Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her father, Bert McKemie, and a granddaughter, Amy Curtis. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman 1st Ward, 12448 North 5th East. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
