Bettie Mae Nasman Morgan, 86, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away June 19, 2016, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. Bettie was born March 9, 1930, in Los Angeles, California, to Eddie Leonard Nasman and Laura Christina Jensen Nasman. She was raised in Rexburg, Idaho, until the age of eight, when the family moved to Clay Center, Kansas. They took over a family farm there, which they ran as a family for five years. Bettie had two sisters and three brothers, Darlene, Eddie, Aleda, Gary and Ted. The family moved to Meridian, Idaho, in 1943, where she would later graduate from Meridian High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, Blaine Morgan of Rexburg, Idaho, on May 10, 1950, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved to Idaho Falls and began their family of five children that year, David "Lynn," Diane, Robert, Greg and Jeff. Bettie worked as an assistant to the Director of the Atomic Energy Commission during the 50's and 60's. She also worked as a Consultant for Sarah Coventry Jewelry during the 60's and 70's. Bettie was an accomplished seamstress and sewed clothing professionally, as well as for her family and friends. She continued to work in several different specialties over the years, including working for an advertising agency, insurance company, in retail jewelry, and at Eastern Idaho Technical College. Bettie continued to work until her retirement in 1995. She was a dedicated and loving mother and has always given selflessly for her children and grandchildren. Bettie is survived by daughter, DianaMarie Morgan of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Robert (Jackie) Morgan of Murray, UT, son, Greg (Cheré) Morgan of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Jeff (Jodi) Morgan of Wellsville, UT, sister, Aleda (Bob) Tenny of Boise, ID, brother, Eddie (Carol) Nasman of Boise, ID, brother, Gary (Anna) Nasman of Boise, ID, brother, Ted (Marty) Nasman of Twin Falls, ID; and eight grandchildren. Britney, Chase, Taesha, Mitchell, Taylor, Jordan, Ruston and Gina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Lynn, and a sister, Darlene. For the last ten years Bettie has resided at Life Care Center under the amazing and careful watch of a dedicated staff. The family wishes to thank all of them for taking care of her with love, respect and dignity. We could not have asked for a better place to care for her. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
