BETTE DEVER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Bette Birrell Archer Dever passed away April 22, 2009 of natural causes incident to age, surrounded by her loving nieces at her home in Idaho Falls. Bette was born March 27, 1925 in Boise to Hugh and Laura Archer and was joined by her brother Kenneth H. "Bud" in 1926. They formed a special bond and were very close. She attended school and graduated from Franklin High School in 1943. In 1946 Bette moved to California to live with her Aunt Birrell and it was there she met and married the love of her life, Harold "Hal" B. Dever. They lived and loved there until his passing in 1980; she later returned to Boise to care for her parents. Bette moved into the Heatherwood Retirement Community where she had many friends and cared for them all. It was there that she met and developed a very special relationship with her loving companion Jim Oliver of Boise. They spent many happy days watching sports and enjoying each others company. They cared for each other deeply. She recently moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to her family. She spent many quality hours with Cheryl, Kathy Jean, Nancy and Kenny and their families. Bette was a member of the Wright Community Church of Boise. Bette will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for sports. Nothing pleased her more than to make people laugh. We will all truly miss that when we think of her. God Bless You Aunt Bette... Interment will be next to her beloved Hal at Live Oak Memorial Park in Monrovia, CA. Arrangements were under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online: Doug Stewart Got to know Bette and will miss her deeply she always made me laugh.
