Betsey Marie (Kubricky) Sayer

Betsey Marie Sayer, 64, of Iona, passed away January 23, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Betsey was born March 17, 1960, in Glens Falls, New York, to Richard John Kubricky and Dorothy Ann Stark Kubricky. She grew up and attended schools in New York, and graduated from Queensbury, New York High School. She also attended BYU, BYU Hawaii, and UVSC.

On April 15, 1982, she married Kerry Ryan Sayer in the Washington DC Temple. Betsey and Ryan lived in New York, Springville, Utah, and Iona, Idaho. Betsey worked for the Census Bureau.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved going to church. She was selfless, kind, and loved people. She enjoyed scrapbooking, jewelry making, playing with her grandson, making wedding bouquets, musically talented, playing the piano, ukulele, French Horn, genealogy, organizing, and holding her family together.

Betsey is survived by her husband, Ryan Sayer of Iona, ID; parents, Richard and Dorothy Kubricky of Queensbury, NY; son, Ryan Thomas (Fiona) Sayer of Bemidji, MN; son, Matthew Talbott Sayer of Iona, ID; daughter, Katherine Jill Sayer of Iona, ID; daughter, Courtney Marie (Michael) Bates of Iona, ID; brother, Mark (Jeanette-deceased) Kubricky of Ogden, UT; sister, Jill Kubricky of Queensbury, NY; brother, Scott (Julie) Kubricky of Queensbury, NY; brother, Brian (Kathy) Kubricky of TN; brother, Glenn (Pam) Kubricky of Phoenix, AZ; and one grandson, Brody.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Iona 5th Ward, 7555 North 55 East, with Bishop Kodi Holdaway officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
