Beth Davenport Tietjen , 86 of Ammon passed away October 28, 2011 at Pine Brook Assisted Living Center in Rigby, Idaho. Beth was born July 11, 1925 in Heman, Idaho to Ira S. Davenport amd Harriet Housley. She grew up and attended schools in the Heman and Sugar City, Idaho where she graduated. On June 14, 1944, she married Amos Junior Tietjen. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on July 18, 1947. Together they raised 5 children. Amos passed away on July 3, 2009. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. For several years she worked as a receptionist at Merlin’s TV. Beth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. She served in many callings, including Temple Worker, in the Relief Society, Young Women’s organization, and as a Primary and Sunday School Teacher. Beth’s enjoyed raising her 5 wonderful children and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, reading and loved doing service for others. Beth is survived by her son Ronald A. (Diane) Tietjen of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Kathy Loreen (Allen) Payne of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Relda (Lonnie) Jacobson of Rigby, ID; son Bill Ira (Cindy) Tietjen of Rexburg, ID son Bruce (Jill) Tietjen of Ammon, ID. and 37 Grandchildren, 95 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers: Elmo, Cyril, Calvin and Merlin; a sister Marva Rydalch; a son-in-law Allen Payne, Jr.; and 2 infant grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Ammon LDS 1st Ward (3000 Central) with Bishop Ryan Kohler officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
