Beth Smith

Beth Norma Howard Smith, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 23, 2018, at Morningstar Assisted Living Center.

She was born on October 21, 1925, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Albert Howard and Zelpha Busch Howard. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Idaho Falls Business College.

While working at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) she met the love of her life, Frank S. Smith, Jr. They were married on January 10, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Beth and Frank had three children; Kurt, Kraig, and Susan. Beth was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed painting and was a talented artist. Each year she would paint her own Christmas cards. She also enjoyed knitting and playing bridge.

Beth is survived by her son: Kurt F. (Amy) Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; son: Kraig S. (Leigh Ann) Smith of Ackworth, GA; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; three sisters; and a daughter, Susan Sargent.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Morningstar, Aspen Home Health, and her granddaughter, Adrianne Sargent, who was also her nurse, for their kind and loving care.

A gathering will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). Graveside services will be held at a later date.
