Beth "Talbot" Nielson

Elizabeth Talbot Nielson, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 2, 2018, at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living. The family would like to thank Solace Home Health and Hospice and Tambree Meadows Assisted Living for their compassionate care. Elizabeth was born August 2, 1927, in Winder, Idaho, to Orville LaRay Talbot and Elizabeth Ann Martin Talbot. She grew up and attended schools in Preston, Idaho, and graduated from Preston High School. On March 23, 1948, she married Merlin Edgar Nielson in Logan LDS Temple. To this union were born four children; Craig, Kim, Kurt and Robert. Elizabeth and Merlin made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Elizabeth worked at Roger Brothers as a Laboratory Technician. Merlin passed away on July 4, 2012. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Beth enjoyed family history, crocheting, embroidering, reading, gardening and crafting. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Craig (Annette Clark) Nielson of Meridian, ID, daughter, Kim (Gary) Copeland of Star, ID, son, Kurt (Vicki Moore) Nielson of Williston, ND, son, Robert "Bob" (Lori Bloom) Nielson of Idaho Falls, ID, 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin E. Nielson, brothers, Ray and Darwin Talbot, sister, Carma Goodsell, and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Friday one hour prior, both visitations at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park, next to her husband.
