OBITUARY INFORMATION
Beth Bonnenberg
Beth Grover Herbert Bonnenberg, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 25, 2012, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Beth was born October 8, 1929, in Sugar City, Idaho to Leo Thomas Grover and Lizzie Leone Wilding Grover.
Beth lived in various towns in Idaho during her youth finally moving to Mapleton, Utah where she met Bob Herbert. They were married in Elko, Nevada on July 31, 1948. Four children were born to this union.
They spent 24 years in the Navy living in Naval Stations throughout the U.S. and retiring in Idaho Falls where they later divorced.
She married Rudolph W. Bonnenberg in 1982, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They lived in Saudi Arabia for several years, and both worked at the INL until retirement.
After they retired Rudy and Beth loved to live in Mexico for 6 months during the winter and for 6 months in Idaho Falls for the summer.
Beth graduated from Grosmont High School in El Cajon, CA. She graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College as a Health Physicist.
She enjoyed painting all her life and later became proficient in making stained glass windows. She was a league pool player, loved horses and dogs, and traveling the world. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
When she was stricken with Alzheimer’s, she moved to Syringa Chalet in Blackfoot, Idaho. Special thanks to the staff at Syringa Chalet for their kindness and care that was given to Beth. Thanks is also given to Good Samaritans in Idaho Falls, where she passed away.
She is survived by her children, Launnie McQueen, Park City, UT; Leo (Connie)Herbert, Idaho Falls, ID; Tom (Kathy) Herbert, Oak City, UT; DeDe Herbert, Providence, RI; 17 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; one sister, Mary Wood, Leeds, UT; and two brothers, Joe Grover, Sacramento, CA and Hart Grover, Idaho Falls, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Davis Herbert; her second husband, Rudolph (Rudy) Wilhelm Bonnenberg; a sister, Leone Norse; and brothers, Ben Grover and Elmo Grover.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Sugar City Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
