BESSIE WRIGHT BOOTH
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- Bessie Beales Wright Booth, 99, of Salt Lake City, passed away November 12, 2006, at Mallory House in Idaho Falls, Idaho, following a stroke. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
She was born April 7, 1907, in Low Moor, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, to John George Beales and Eliza Knowles Beales. She emigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah, with her family when she was seven years old, where she grew up and attended schools. She graduated from LDS High School in Salt Lake City, then attended LDS Business College.
She married Morton M. Wright June 20, 1927, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and they divorced in 1934. She married Marcus M. Booth September 24, 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho. She was a homemaker and mother. She also worked as a stenographer at A. J. Kirk Wholesale Company and loan clerk at Deseret Federal Savings & Loan and was a clerk in The Salt Lake Knitting Store. Marcus passed away February 21, 1962.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various capacities over the years. She enjoyed gardening after the fashion of her father, who was a typical English gardener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Ramon Beales Wright, and two great grandsons, Christopher and Travis Hartlauer.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2006, at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, with Bishop David Cates officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls. The family will also visit with friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday for one hour prior to the services, both at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary.
Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
