Bertha M. Bybee, 91, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away April 15, 2012, at the Rexburg Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Bertha was born May 23, 1920, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jessie Lehi Quinton and Minnie Morrall. She grew up in Idaho Falls attended Idaho Falls area schools.
On February 4, 1942 she married Marion Jay Bybee in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bertha and Jay lived in Idaho Falls, and raised their family there. She has lived the last 17 years in Rexburg. Bertha was a mother and homemaker and worked as a housekeeper, CNA and Laundry Aid in the Idaho Falls Temple. She received the “Palmer Method” penmanship award, and has been an active 4-H Leader.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and cheerfully served in various callings, including being a Primary Teacher. Bertha enjoyed keeping an organized home, hand sewing, reading, music, fishing and most especially spending time with her family.

Daughter: Josephine Bybee Alder of Spokane, WA.
Sister: Eva (Chris) Quinton Dilley Anderson of Logan, UT.
Brother: George Quinton of Idaho Falls, ID.
Brother: Roy (Renee) Quinton of Idaho Falls, ID.
Brother-in-Law: Larry (Trea) Dilley of Menan, ID.
16 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, M. Jay; a daughter, Mary Bybee Mayab; brother, Vernal; brother Roscoe; sister Verna; grandson Karl; 3 great grandsons, Matthew, Nathaniel and Jordan; and 1 great granddaughter, Kenadi.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side . The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 Sunday and from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery.
