BERTHA C. BROWN RIRIE, ID -- Bertha Celia Cleverly Cooper Brown, 90, of Ririe, died July 16, 2005, at Life Care Center. She was born November 20, 1914, in Shelton, Idaho, the youngest of five children born to George Franklin Cleverly and Hannah Peterson Cleverly. She grew up in the Shelton area and attended the Buck School. She married Stan Cooper March 30, 1932, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived and farmed near Iona and later near Shelton, where she was a homemaker, mother, and farm wife. They also spent many winters living and working in Mesa, Arizona, where she worked at J. C. Penney Co. and Sears. Her husband passed away in 1981. She married Lynn Brown in March 26, 1982 in Shelton, Idaho and he passed away September 9, 1999. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in all the auxiliaries over the years. She loved cooking, gardening, fishing, and working and being with people. Survivors include: Son: Max (Betty) Cooper of Ririe, ID Stepson: Larry (Ruby) Brown of Idaho Falls, ID Stepson: Neil (Verlie) Brown of Ririe, ID Stepdaughter: LaRae (Dick) Wheeler of Idaho Falls, ID Stepdaughter: Illene (Sharod) Broadhead of San Jose, CA Stepdaughter: Sandra Myers of Phoenix, AZ 3 Granddaughters, 7 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren 26 Step Grandchildren and numerous Step Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husbands, a son, Orien Cooper, two sisters, Rozetta and Rozella, and two brothers, Lee and Oliver “Bud.” Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon, with Bishop Larry Stucki of the Clark-Shelton LDS Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
