Bert "Bo Barney" Barney

Bert Ronald ‘Bo’ Barney, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 29, 2016, at Pine Brook Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls. Bo was born November 21, 1956, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Bert Clifford Barney and Florance Alta Staggie Barney. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. As a young man he moved to Wyoming, where he started a family. He has two children, Bert and Kathleen. Bo later moved to Alaska, where he worked as a cook for the pipeline workers on the north slope. He had many adventures hunting and fishing. He loved the freedom of the outdoors. Bo lived his life as a free spirit. Bo is survived by his mother, Alta (Larry) Simmons of Island Park, ID; sister, Sandra Barney of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Barbara (Todd) Biggs of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Lynn (Laura) Barney of Wasilla, AK; brother, Wayne (Mattie) Barney of Kerrville, TX; brother, Brad Barney of Kerrville, TX; nephew, Ronnie (Rachel) Barney of Idaho Falls, ID; He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Clifford Barney, and a brother, Brent Barney. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016, at the home of Todd &Barbara Biggs, 1537 Vassar Way, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
