Berniece Maxine Wadsworth, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 10, 2015, surrounded by her family, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of her family and Encompass Hospice.
Berniece was born July 20, 1926, in Rigby, Idaho, to Fredrick Hendrickson Kay and Louise Osborne Kay. She spent her early years in Rigby, then attended schools in Driggs and graduated from Driggs High School. She also earned her associates degree from Kinman Business College in Spokane, Washington.
On October 7, 1946, she married Weldon Jay Wadsworth in Taylor, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple November 30, 1956. They divorced in 1985. Berniece was a devoted mother to their eleven children. They made their home in Taylor, where Berniece was a wife, mother, homemaker and worked on the family farm. She also worked in various part-time secretarial jobs and as a sales clerk at Z.C.M.I. (where she received many accolades), from which she retired.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a temple officiator, member of the Relief Society Presidency, as a teacher, and in Primary and all the organizations of the church. Her hobbies included temple work, quilting, sewing, cake decorating, genealogy, horses, shooting guns, and herbal and natural medicine. Most of all she loved babies, family, and her church.

son, Craig (Kim) Wadsworth of Rexburg, ID,
son, Val (Jennifer) Wadsworth of Pocatello, ID,
daughter, Geri Lynn Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID.
26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Lane, a daughter, Anita, a grandson, Brady Holland, a great granddaughter, Bentley Ella Black, four brothers, Ivan, Vernal, Myrl, and an infant brother, Kenneth, and a sister, Waunetta Hill.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, at Ammon LDS 21st Ward, 4030 John Adams Parkway. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
