Berniece Elaine Call DeCoria, 89, passed away after a short battle with cancer, at her home in Idaho Falls on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
She was born March 4, 1921 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Earnest W. and Mabel Johnson Call. She grew up and attended schools in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School.
She married Kenneth Dale DeCoria on August 27, 1950 in Arco, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 14, 1953. Berniece was very good with numbers and worked for several businesses in Idaho Falls as their business manager. Berniece and Kenneth belonged to the River Rogues Boat Club and enjoyed for many years the friendships they made.
She was a wonderful cook and made beautiful quilts. Berniece was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. She loved going to the cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren loved her very much and she will be greatly missed. Kenneth preceded her in death on January 19, 2008.

Son: K. Craig (Vondra) DeCoria, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Delsa Anderson, Twin Falls, ID
Besides her three children, she leaves 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Idaho Falls LDS Kearney 3rd Ward Chapel, 1860 Kearney, with Bishop Donald Harris officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road; and on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Park.
