BERNICE THUERNAGLE
Bernice Vesta Thuernagle, 88, of Idaho Falls, died December 25, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 10, 1919, in Wood River, Nebraska, to George Edwin Burmood and Vesta Ward Burmood. She attended schools in Grand Island Nebraska, and also lived in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, Sioux City, Iowa, Sheridan, Wyoming, and then in Idaho Falls.
She married Clyde Clayton Thuernagle June 14, 1941, while living in Nebraska. They had one son, Gerald Thuernagle. She worked as a secretary and receptionist for a funeral home. Her husband preceded her in death September 29, 1997.
She was an active member of the Lutheran Church, then converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1998.
She loved her dogs and enjoyed the outdoors, collecting stamps, cooking, handwork, watching sports, and was a great listener, a very kind, loyal, loving grandmother and a friend to many.

Grandson: Andrew (Sherrie) Thuernagle, Iona
Grandson: Jonathan (Mohna) Thuernagle, Pocatello
Granddaughter: Gretchen Rae (Erik) Peterson, Fort Lewis, WA
Granddaughter: Emily (Charles) Grant, Idaho Falls
Granddaughter: Katherine Thuernagle, Rexburg
Grandson: Clayton Thuernagle, serving in the Germany, Frankfurt LDS Mission
9 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Gerald G. Thuernagle.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 4th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop Larry Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
