Belva Rae Bingham Hathaway, 98, of Idaho Falls, passed away on January 23, 2018, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.

Belva was born July 20, 1919, in Sugar City, Idaho to John Reuben Bingham and Novella Celeste Nielson Bingham. She grew up in the area and attended schools in Rexburg, graduating from Madison High School.

She married Quentin D. Barrett. They were later divorced. On August 16, 1975, she married Wylie Hathaway in Shelley, Idaho. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1996. Belva was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She also volunteered for several organizations and was successful as a business entrepreneur receiving awards in both areas.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Belva is survived by a daughter, Judy D. Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; a son, Gary R. Barrett of Idaho Falls, ID; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Gene Barrett; two brothers; one sister; one granddaughter; 3 great granddaughters; and one great grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Sugar City Cemetery.
