Click Here To View Memorial Video Belva LaVene Coe Fairbourne, our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and neighbor, passed away March 9, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Belva was born February 17, 1920, in Tabiona, Utah, to Henry Lloyd Coe and Lillian Isobel Jones Coe. She grew up and attended schools in Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School. On January 1, 1939, she married Stanley Frank Fairbourne in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 15, 1957. They had a family of five children: Marjorie, Michael, Pamela, Janice, and Richard. Belva and Stanley lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, then made their permanent home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Stanley passed away in Idaho Falls on October 30, 1988. Belva was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities, including Primary Counselor, Young Women's Counselor, Relief Society Homemaking Leader, and other positions. However, her favorite calling was working in Primary with the disabled children. She also served in the Idaho Falls Temple for three years. Belva was a great seamstress and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and knitting. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a woman of great unconditional love. She loved her family and friends and always tried to help them and others. No one was more important to her than her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She would stand up for the rights of those she loved against anyone and in any situation. Belva is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Kay (Don) Green of Kearns, UT; son, Michael Dee (Peggy) Fairbourne of Plymouth, MN; daughter, Pamela (Brent) Hart of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Janice L. (Stephen) Boone of Peachtree, GA; and son, Richard Allen (Debra) Fairbourne of Shelley, ID; 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lillian Coe; her husband, Stanley Frank Fairbourne; three brothers and two sisters. Belva was definitely of the "Greatest Generation." She was strong, courageous, determined, righteous, and honest. Our love for her is eternal. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
