Becky Lou Harris Paesl, 56, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away October 14, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was also under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Becky was born December 2, 1960, in Rexburg, Idaho, to William Spence Harris and Ruth Park Harris. She grew up on the family farm in the Sugar-Salem area and attended schools in Sugar City. She graduated from Sugar-Salem High School, then earned her associates degree from Ricks College.
On March 19, 1982, she married John Peter Idema in Rexburg, Idaho. To this union were born three children, Mariah, Tyler, and Trevor. They were later divorced.
On June 23, 1989, she married Reed Alan Paesl in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born two children, Seth and Shilo. Becky and Reed made their home in Idaho Falls and Becky was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Reed passed away November 28, 2014.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was heavily involved in the humanitarian efforts of the church. Becky dedicated much of her time doing genealogy and family history. She loved music and was a skilled seamstress. Her first love and primary focus in life was her family.

brother, Lorin (Cathy) Harris of Salem, ID,
sister, Sandra (John) Dexter of Salem, ID,
brother, Randy (Rita) Harris of Rose, ID,
Reed’s parents, Dewitt Alex (Fern) Paesl of Idaho Falls, ID,
and 5 grandchildren, Carson, Jaxson, Kaebree, Lucy, and Karter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Spence and Ruth Harris, and her husband, Reed.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Iona LDS 4th Ward, 1040 North Crimson Drive, with Bishop Terry Turner officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
