Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Call, 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully Friday, April 11 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 3, 1966 to Elton Lynn Call and Susan Elaine Dobson Call in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the youngest of three girls and the last surviving daughter.
On October 1,1982, she married Patrick McGary. Together they welcomed two children, Rosalie Elaine and Tyson Theodore. Patrick and Becky later divorced, but remained friends. Becky adored her children more than life itself, almost as much as she adored her three grandchildren, Christian Jacob (CJ), Madison Rose and Tyson Theodore Jr. Anyone who knew Becky understood those were her most precious gifts here on this earth.
Becky loved her family with her whole heart. If you were her friend, you would be family. She was such a genuine, loving person. It didn't matter what you had or where you came from, if Becky loved you, you knew it and so did everyone else.
She and Richard Schenk have been loving companions for the last 6 years. He stood by her side on the good days and sat by her bed on the difficult. He is able to take on things most people couldn't. He lifted the burden off of her parents and gladly shared the duties of caring for her until the very end. Becky spent her time crocheting blankets for all the new babies throughout her family. She loved to shop and, like her mother, was always looking for the next "sale". She loved to talk on the phone - if you called Becky you always knew she would be on the other end with a great laugh. She loved the monthly family dinners, as well as the family reunions and the family Christmas parties. She also enjoyed the great outdoors with her children, roller blading, camping, hiking, making s'mores, and telling stories around the bonfire.
Becky loved her parents dearly. Her momma was her best friend and her daddy was the smartest man she knew. She had an un-breakable bond with her two sisters in heaven and couldn't wait for the day she got to be with them again.
Rebecca is survived by her parents, Elton Lynn Call and Susan Call; two children, Rosalie Elaine McGary (James Suttle) of Stow, OH and Tyson Theodore McGary (Jillian Davis) of Aurora, OH; three grandchildren, Christian Jacob Artl, Madison Rose Suttle, both of Stow, OH and Tyson Theodore McGary Jr. of Aurora, OH; and her companion, Richard Schenk of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elton and Verda Call and Evelyn Russell; an Uncle Jay D. Call, both her sisters, Linda Sue Call and Rosalie Anne Call; a nephew Zacharey Elton Call and her great niece, Hailee Joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17th at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave.
