Bayleigh Purkiss

Bayleigh Maykel Purkiss, 11, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Bayleigh was born February 21, 2014, to Rebecca Eddins. She instantly became the light of everyone’s life. Bayleigh grew up in the Rigby and Idaho Falls areas where she attended Cottonwood Elementary and Ethel Boyes. She loved camping, boating, riding four-wheelers, and making bracelets for her loved ones. She absolutely loved being surrounded by her family. She really enjoyed going to McDonald’s with her mom. Bayleigh faced so many trials throughout her life, and she overcame every single one with so much courage, strength, and with a smile on her face. Even in death, she still gives so many strength. Her story and memories will forever show everyone, even in the hardest of times, give it everything you have.

Bayleigh is survived by her mother, Rebecca; dad, Thayne Eddins (Sam Hulet); sisters, Ryleigh Smith, Brexlee Eddins, Jaricka Cyr, and Rylee Hulet; brothers, Daniel Eddins, Jaxten Eddins, Kamden Eddins, Hayden Shelley, Jeremiah Cyr, and Braxten Hulet; nephew, Stratton; aunt, Hollidae Perigan; uncle, Brandon Gilgen (Sonnie, Asher, Stevie); aunt, Kalina; uncle, Ryan Bingham (Sutter, Miles); aunt, Michelle; uncle, Joe Hansen (Kason, Cydni, Weston, Easton, Ellie, Maxson); aunt, Jaimie Harris; uncle, Trevor Eddins (Ashton, Gavin, Grew, James, Trace; aunt, Aubrie; uncle, Dillion Eddins (Malcom, Olie, Hazel); grandmother, Darlene Purkiss; grandpa, Dan Purkiss; grandpa, Mike Eddins; grandma, Trudie Eddins; grandma, Brenda Shelley; and grandpa, Jerry Smith.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Dan Purkiss; great-grandmother, Mary Ann; great-grandfather, Harvey; and great-grandmother, Janice McCullah; and uncle, Nick Perigan.
