BARBARA SCHWIEDER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Barbara Bell Schwieder, 88, of Iona,
died September 29, 2004, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.
She was born January 27, 1916, in Thatcher, Idaho, to William John Turner
and Susan Mariah Stephenson Turner. She graduated from Grace High School,
then attended Albion State Normal School, Utah State University and BYU
where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education.
She married Newell Cooper in Grace, Idaho and their marriage
was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death.
She was a school teacher for over 30 years.
She married Phillip R. Schwieder January 5, 1985, in
Las Vegas, Nevada. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, she served in the Junior Sunday School, Primary and
Young Women's organization. She enjoyed reading, social gatherings with
friends, playing cards and dancing.

Daughter: Karen C. Jenson, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Rosalie Caffaro, Bear Lake, UT
Daughter: Alaina Ochoa, Las Vegas, NV
15 Grandchildren, 45 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Newell Cooper,
a son, Blair Cooper, siblings, DeVerl Turner, Bryce Turner, Gail Turner,
Ruth Gregory, Jessie Andreasen, Geneive Tingey, and a great grandson,
Carson Leo Harris.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October
4, 2004, at the Iona LDS Stake Center (Corner of Ririe Highway and 55th
East), with Bishop Geoffrey Thomas, of the Iona 5th Ward, officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday, from 7 to
8:30 p.m., at Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road, and Monday
from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
