Barbara Anne (Schluter) Jensen

Barbara Anne Jensen, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 6, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was born April 23, 1942, in Idaho Falls, ID, to John Schluter and Mildred Gentry Schluter.  She grew up in Ririe on Birch Creek Ranch and attended schools in Ririe.  She graduated from Ririe High School.

On April 17, 1959, she married Eldon “Byron” Jensen in Ririe, Idaho. Barbara and Byron moved around to various places in  Southeast Idaho but eventually made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed knitting quilts for her family and loved her dog Sadie. She loved being a wife and mother. She was loved by everyone she met.

Barbara is survived by her son, Rick (Patty) Jensen of Irwin, ID; brother, Jerry (Bea) Schluter of Ririe, ID; five grandchildren, Tim, Michael, David, Zach, and Krystal; and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Jensen; parents, John and Mildred Schluter; in-laws, Eldon & Nola Jensen; daughter, Debbie Jensen; son, Lance Jensen; grandson, Justin Morris; and granddaughter, Jessee Morris.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, 12463 East 129 North in Ririe.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
