Click Here To View Memorial Video Barbara Mae Coleman Nelson, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 12, 2014, at her home surrounded by her children and family. She was born February 13, 1930, in Fairfield, Idaho, to Dewey Coleman and Vivian Ross Coleman. She grew up and attended schools in the Ririe and Rigby area. February 6, 1953, she married Daniel Charles Nelson in Idaho Falls, Idaho He preceded her in death on November 22, 2008. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, and was very passionate about Elvis Presley and his memorabilia. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Robert Smith, Sharon Nelson (Brian) Cecil, Michael Floyd Nelson, Deborah Nelson Thomas, Carol Nelson (Richard Butch) Wiemer, Bradley Eugene Nelson, and Bonnie Mae Nelson Murphy, all of Idaho Falls, ID; a brother, Mickey Eugene Coleman; 2 sisters, Dorthy Carlson and Catherine Slocket; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Daniel Paul Nelson; a daughter-in-law, Martine Nelson; one grandchild, Sunny Wiemer; and one great grandchild, Matthew Blair. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 1-1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) prior to the services at the cemetery.
