OBITUARY INFORMATION BARBARA DELAINE HEBDON HOVIS Barbara Delaine Hebdon Hovis, 83, of Ammon, passed away June 5, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1929 in Rigby, Idaho to Truman and Louise Butterworth Hebdon. She was the youngest in the family of 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She grew up on the farm east of Rigby and learned to do farm chores and farm work along with her sisters, Nelda and Donalue. Barbara attended school in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. After high school she met Jerry Hovis at a dance in Idaho Falls and they began a courtship that lasted four years and ended in a marriage on October 17, 1952 at her parents home in Rigby. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1954. They lived in Idaho Falls, Shelley and Ammon. In their early marriage she worked at the telephone company, Hebdon’s Health Salon and Excelsis Beauty Salon. After raising a family of three children she worked with her husband at Dhrco Distributors for several years. She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Ammon; Daughter, Lisa (Robert) Painter of Spirit Lake, Idaho; Son, Jeff (Jan) Hovis of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Nanci (Richard) Bradley of Layton, UT; Sister, Nelda Baker of Farmington, UT; Sister, Donalue Hart of Idaho Falls, ID 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tie Breaker LDS Church (1100 Tie Breaker Dr.) with Bishop Randy Lords officiating. The family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Rd.) and 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
