BARBARA GRAY ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Barbara Mary Sanderson Gray, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 14, 2007, at Anchorage, Alaska, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was born June 17, 1929, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dayle Aldon Sanderson and Mary Estella Anderson Sanderson. She attended Idaho Falls schools, Brigham Young University and Utah State University. She married Robert Glenn Gray June 15, 1949, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lovingly raised their seven children, residing in Idaho Falls, Idaho; Glenwood Springs, Colorado; Logan, Utah; Boise, Idaho; Phoenix, Arizona; Anchorage, Juneau and Nome, Alaska; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Robert preceded her in death July 8, 1989. She was a homemaker and taught piano in Idaho Falls and Alaska. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Relief Society President; Young Women President; Camp Director; on the Primary Stake Board; as Ward Organist and Chorister; Choir Director; and started one of the first LDS Church Cub Scout Packs in Anchorage, Alaska. She served as a missionary in the Eugene, Oregon, Mission, and was a temple worker in the Idaho Falls Temple. She served on the Idaho Falls American Legion Executive Baseball Board. She loved being with her children and grandchldren. Survivors include: Daughter: Rosemary (Paul) Jenkins, Rigby, ID Son: Rob (Anne) Gray, Wasilla, AK Daughter: Debbie (Steve) Grant, Meridian, ID Son: Mike (Kari) Gray, Wasilla, AK Son: Steven (Rex) Grey Romande, Coronado (San Diego), CA Son: Dennis (JoLene) Gray, Cedar City, UT Daughter: Barbie (Steve) Young, Farmington, UT Sister: Janet (Don) Marler, Escondido, CA 30 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one great grandson. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS Rose Park Ward, 351 West 14th Street, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Scott Smith officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Thursday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
