Barb was born January 15, 1936, in American Falls, Idaho, the only daughter of Frank W. Horton and Lena Fackerell Horton. She grew up and attended schools in Leadore, Idaho. On September 25, 1951, she married Van Gene Bagley in Salmon, Idaho. Barb and Van made their home in Salmon, Leadore, Billings, Montana, Tillamook, Oregon, Idaho Falls and Ammon, Idaho, where they had their forever home on the corner of 17th Street and Curlew. The home became a haven for their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many wayward friends that might need a meal, a hug, or a kick in the pants. Barb was an dedicated, driven woman in the workplace. She worked in personnel and benefits at Rogers Foods, as a travel agent at Tandy & Wood, and managed convenience stores. She retired in 1995. She was an advocate for Women Against Violence. Barb was also a cancer survivor. “Gran” dedicated her life to her husband, Van, since she was 15 years old. She was responsible for raising kids since she was seven years old. She was her family’s rock, who instilled her ‘no-nonsense, get-it-accomplished’ attitude in all of them. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and traveling. She enjoyed many camping trips to Palisades and Island Park with her family. Barb is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Van Bagley of Ammon, ID; daughter, Vanya Graham of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Carma (Junior) Crotteau of Rigby, ID; a grandson she raised, Eric Shupp of Ammon, ID; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
