Barbara Stephens Elliott, 92, of Iona, passed away October 4, 2013, at her home.
Barbara was born September 26, 1921, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Walter Isaac Stephens and Elvira Rushton Stephens. She grew up and attended schools in Iona and graduated from Iona High School.
On February 14, 1941, she married John Barnett Elliott at Iona, Idaho. The marriage was solemnized in The Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 12, 1958. To this union were born four sons, Rodney, Stephen, Jack, and Gary. Barbara and John made their home in Iona, Idaho. Barbara worked as a sales clerk for S.H. Kress and Bon Marche.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints. She served in the Primary, Young Women, and Sunday School Organizations. Barbara was a member of the Iona Historical Society and the Bonneville Art Association. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, which she really enjoyed.

her loving husband of 72 years, John Elliott of Iona, ID;
son, Rodney S. (Colleen) Elliott of Rigby, ID;
son, Stephen R (Helen (deceased)) Elliott of Iona, ID;
son, Jack B (Melody) Elliott of Etna, WY;
son, Gary S (Larie) Elliott of Sandy, UT .
20 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren 9 great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harland and Earl Stephens, her sister Romaine Walker, two granddaughters, Diana and Holly Elliott, and her daughter-in-law Helen Elliott, and her great granddaughter Lyndsey Diana Elliott.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the Iona LDS Stake Center, 7555 North 55th East, with Bishop Hal Schofield officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
