Barbara Jean Burtenshaw

Barbara Jean Burtenshaw, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 26, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was born October 15, 1950, in Shelley, Idaho, to Darrel LeRoy Burtenshaw and Rita Jean Cox Burtenshaw. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School.

On December 14, 1974, she married Richard Curtis Bee in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were blessed with two daughters, Sarah and Sheila. Barbara and Richard were later divorced.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Barbara enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing games with family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Sarah (Travis) Bowen of Iona, ID and Sheila Bee of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Bonita Hilton, Brenda (Glenn) Harker, and Beverly Burtenshaw, all of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Bruce (Kim) Burtenshaw of Wailuku, HI, Brent Burtenshaw of Idaho Falls, ID, Byron Burtenshaw of Shelley, ID, and Bryce (Natalie) Burtenshaw of Ririe, ID; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrel and Rita Burtenshaw, and brother, Bryan Burtenshaw.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
