Barbara Rheta (Brault) Adelman

Barbara Rheta Adelman, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 16, 2024, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.

Barbara was born November 9, 1938, in Meriden, Connecticut, to Raymond J. Brault and Esther Lange Brault. She grew up and attended schools in Connecticut. She also attended Catholic college where she earned a B.S. in nursing.

She married Ron in Montreal, California. Barbara and Ron made their home in Montreal, California, and they were later divorced. She later married Murray Adelman in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked as a nurse for over 40 years. When she married Murray, she instantly became a proud stepmother to three children. She and Murray later divorced.

She was a member of the Catholic Church and was actively involved with St. Vincent de Paul in Idaho Falls and the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and the many church groups she was involved in.

Barbara is survived by her son, Michael Adelman of Boise, ID; daughter, Sharon Johnson of St George, UT; daughter, Susan Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Rayanne (Wayne) Bartlett of St. George, UT; grandchildren, Kelly Gunnerson, Kristy McElroy, and Roy “Donny” Greene; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family services will be held.
