Click Here To View Memorial Video Barbara Lee “Barbi” Shipley Bowden, 72, of Ririe, passed away on November 6, 2014, at her home. She was born July 11, 1942, in Rigby, Idaho, to Louis Wallace Shipley and Velma Lucille Monroe Shipley. She attended O.E. Bell Junior High and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On May 2, 1958, she married William T. Adams in Bingham County, Idaho. They were later divorced. She married Newel J. Bowden on October 31, 1966, in Multnomah, Oregon. Barbi was a mother and homemaker and also worked at Idaho Supreme, Bonded, Simplot, and Sunspice. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crafting, construction, and electrical work. She was a Martha Stewart and Bob Vila all in one. Barbi was loved by all and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Peterson of Idaho Falls; daughter, Pam (Mark) Schall of Twin Falls, ID; brother, Michael Shipley of California; brother, Patrick Shipley of California; sister, Karen Franzen of Washington; sister, Katherine Pock of Fernwood, ID; sister, Maureen Shipley of Sparks, NV; sister, Sharon Smith of Oregon; sister, Francis (John) Merrils; sister, Renee (Ernie) Lake; 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Newel J. Bowden; daughter, Tammy Howard; and six sisters, Violet Harada, Shirley Whitman, JoAnna Covington, Alice Mcleod, Myrtle Shipley, and Betty Shipley. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014, at the Ririe LDS 3rd Ward (14061 North 130 East) with Bishop Burt Brown officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.

11:00 a.m. ,Friday, November 14, 2014 Ririe LDS Perry Building 285 2nd West Ririe, ID, Jefferson 83443 Notes: The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
