Barbara Rae Hatt Perry Parke, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away on October 2, 2025, at her home. She was under the care of Solace Hospice and her loving family.
Barbara was born August 8, 1942, in Patten, Maine, to Raymond Harold Hatt and Helen Mary MacLean.
She grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts, until moving to Idaho in 1954. Barbara attended O.E. Bell Jr. High and finished high school at Idaho Falls High School in the class of 1960.
Barbara married Edward A. Perry in August of 1959. Two sons were born to this union, Craig Harold and Scott Edward. This union ended in 1972.
She worked at The Bank of Idaho from 1972-1974, V-1 Oil from 1975-1980, Boise Cascade from 1980-1981, and the Idaho State Police from 1981-1997.
She later married William E. Parke in October 1981. They were together for 40 years before he died in October of 2021. The happiest days of her life were with Bill, her best friend.
Barbara was a knitter, gardener, and artist. She painted landscape pictures for most of her life.
She is survived by her step-sons, William “Jay” (Ronie) Parke of Lander, WY, Charles “Tad” (Tannis) Parke of Teton, ID; and daughter-in-law, Janet (Jason) Perry-Quintana of Firestone, CO; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia; sons, Craig and Scott; 3 great grandchildren; and her husband, William.
