Barbara Anderson

Watch Funeral Service Barbara Jean Anderson, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 7, 2018, at her family home in Osgood, Idaho. Barbara was under the care of Hands of Hope and her loving family. Barbara was born on May 11, 1959, to Dale and Lela Anderson. She was the only girl in the house with four brothers and she grew up tough. Barbara was always a great help to her mom and dad with her brothers. As a young child, she lived in West Yellowstone and Oregon but spent most of her life in the Idaho Falls area. Barbara graduated from Bonneville High School in 1977. After high school, Barbara attended Excelsis Beauty School and became a cosmetologist. She worked for Imagemakers for over 39 years. Barbara truly loved what she did and even in the last few months when she was not feeling her best, she still got up everyday and went in to the shop. Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an Avon representative for over 25 years. Barbara enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, cooking and just helping others. Most of all, Barbara loved being an aunt. Her nieces and nephews meant the world to her. Barbara is survived by her brothers, Ronnie "Butch" (Teresa Stephens) Anderson, Charlie (Dawn) Anderson, Terry Anderson, Brad Anderson; and her nieces and nephews, Casey, Haylie, Colton, Bryanna and Gavan, Chelsie, Ashley and Alisha, Skylor, Tayson, and Mycheala; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Lela, grandparents, Paul and Alice Thueson and James and Katherine Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot.
