JR. McKINNEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Avery JR. McKinney, 61, of Idaho Falls, died February 9, 2010, at his sister’s home in Idaho Falls of cancer. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
JR. was born October 11, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Avery W. McKinney and Ruth Ann Sparks McKinney. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.
He married Phyllis Buck, they had three children, and were later divorced. He married Deawn Ball and they had two children and were later divorced. In recent years he has enjoyed the companionship of Sandy Holland. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction.
JR. loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include four children: T. J. McKinney of Challis, Kori Walters of Carlsbad, CA, Sean McKinney of Idaho Falls, and Dustin McKinney of Wapello; six grandchildren, Matthew, Dylan, Jordan, Brooke, Peyton and Lori; two brothers, Harry McKinney of San Diego, CA and Bill McKinney of Idaho Falls, and two sisters, Rita Anderson of Idaho Falls and Betty Riddle of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery McKinney and Ruth Butler, two brothers, W. C. McKinney and Perry McKinney, and a sister, Marilyn Pack.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
