Obituary

Austin Dee Green, 30, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away on September 13, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Lemhi County, Idaho.

Austin was born on September 20, 1995, in St. George, Utah, to Bruce Dee Green and Samera Lea Hatch Green. He was the beloved and favorite little brother to his older sisters, Kelsie and Allix. Austin grew up in Ucon, Idaho, where he attended Ucon Elementary School and Rocky Mountain Middle School before graduating from Lincoln High School.

Austin earned multiple welding certifications and received numerous promotions throughout his career in ironworking and the oilfield industry. Most recently, he worked as a derrick hand for True Drilling in Casper, Wyoming. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and willingness to work hard.

On June 24, 2023, Austin married the love of his life, Tasha Veater. Through their marriage, Austin became an instant and loving father to Alexis and Jackson. Austin and Tasha made their home together in Ammon, Idaho, where they built a life filled with love, family, and memories.

Austin had a passion for the outdoors and anything with an engine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, working on his truck, and spending countless hours admiring and caring for his motorcycle. Austin lived his life WFO. He loved deeply and fiercely, and his wife, children, and family meant everything to him. He was a proud member of Saint Nation Motorcycle Club and Pagan's Motorcycle Club.

Austin is survived by his loving wife, Tasha Green of Ammon, Idaho; daughter, Alexis Veater, and son, Jackson Veater, both of Ammon, Idaho; his parents, Bruce and Samera Green of Rigby, Idaho; and his sisters, Kelsie Eddins of Rigby, Idaho, and Allix Petersen (Andrew Petersen) of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and LaRee Hatch and Wayne, and Lois Green; his cousin, Ernie Beard; and multiple beloved aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on September 22, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side with Jennifer Veater officiating. The family will visit with friends and family Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service, both visitations at Wood East Side. Burial will follow at Cache Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made toward Austin's final funeral expenses. Donations can be made to the Austin Green Memorial Fund at Idaho Central Credit Union or directly to Wood Funeral Home.
