AUSTIN T. CALL
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- Our angel, Austin Troy Call, flew back to heaven to watch over us on December 21, 2006, at 7:10 a.m. at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to complications following a stroke after cranio-facial surgery.
Austin was born on August 12, 1993 to Dominique Williams-Call and Troy Call in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was a fighter from the beginning of his full life. He spent the first six weeks in the hospital and within four years of his life had had numerous surgeries and was the first patient under three at Primary Children’s Hospital to receive an experimental chemo that is widely used today.
When Austin was 4, he moved to New Jersey with his mom, brother and two sisters and met what would become his second dad, William Behr. While living in New Jersey for nine years, Austin thrived and was fortunate not to undergo anymore surgeries. Austin moved back to Idaho in late October 2006 with his mom and two sisters.
Austin participated in many activities including playing golf for the Junior Blind Golf Association, was a brown belt in karate, enjoyed bowling, baseball, horseback riding, basketball, fishing and soccer for the Brick Township, NJ Challenger League for disabled children. Austin also enjoyed riding his custom built bike, playing his Play Station 2 and hanging out with his second dad at the firehouse.
Everyone that Austin met, was touched and inspired. He never knew the words, “I can’t.” He loved everyone and was a very giving soul right up to the end of his life here on earth by attempting to donate organs so someone else could live. Unfortunately, he was unable to give that gift and was certainly disappointed.
Survivors include his Mother and two sisters, Amanda Behr and Kathryn Call of the family home in Idaho Falls, his Father of Twin Falls, his second Dad and brother, Adam Behr of the family home in Brick, NJ, step-brother, Jacob Behr and step-sister Jessica Behr of Oswego, NY, Grandparents: Wes Williams and Carol Williams of Idaho Falls, John Call of Blackfoot, ID, Dona Booker and Great Grandmother Elizabeth Shepherd of Florida, Aunts and Uncles: Kip and Jodie Gardner , Lance and Nancy Call of Blackfoot, ID, Brent and Tonia Guymon, Mark and Linnette Giles, Teresa Williams of Idaho Falls, ID, Wes and Pepper Williams of Twin Falls, ID, Patrick and Kelly Behr of Seattle, WA, Larry and Chris Behr of Virginia Beach, VA.
Austin is preceded in death by his Grandmother: Barbara Cleverley of Idaho Falls, ID, Grandfather: Lawrence Behr of Cliffwood, NJ, Uncle: Chad Williams of Idaho Falls and Cousin: Jeremy Williams of Boise, ID.
Services are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the Austin Call Memorial Fund at any Key Bank.

Dom & family thank you for sharing your family with mine. I will fondly remember flying kites one warm spring day back in Jersey. We love you and are thinking of you.
