Audrey Jean Empey Burke, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 17, 2013, at her home of natural causes, with her husband and daughter by her side. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Audrey was born June 14, 1937, in Ammon, Idaho, to Guy Ephraim Empey and Marcia Berneice Walker Empey. She grew up in Ammon and attended schools there, graduating from Bonneville High School. She attended Ex-Cel-Sis Beauty School, where she received her training as a beautician.
On August 25, 1956, she married Richard Edward Burke in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized July 23, 1957, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Audrey and Richard made their home in the foothills of Ammon, where they raised their four children, Mike, Koreen, Matt, and Sherry. Audrey was a wife, mother, homemaker, and beautician.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Audrey served in many callings over the years, including Young Women, Primary, and ward and stake Library. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. She enjoyed her church callings and especially loved being a librarian.

Sister, Larene (DelRoy) Hanson of Hazelton, ID;
11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Dewey Empey.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at Ammon LDs 13th Ward, 7118 South Ledgerock Drive, with Bishop Brad Ferney officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Wood East Side, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
